Other nations should take a note of this annual tradition in the United States.
The Thanksgiving act is divine and its cultural and traditional practise inevitably attract blessings, prosperity, progress and abundance. As individuals, we are expected to always give thanks to our creator for the gift of life and all the countless loads of benefits we enjoy daily. The best and fastest way to frustrate your life and destiny is to be an unrepentant grumbler and complainant.
Thanksgiving day which is celebrated every 23rd/24th November of the year symbolizes intercultural peace, America’s opportunity for newcomers, and the sanctity of home and family. Its historical origins date back to the 1621 feast. But then, what is thanksgiving? It is simply the act of giving thanks, an acknowledgement or celebration of goodness.
Thanksgiving day is a time for families and friends to come together, often involving a festive meal with traditional dishes and varieties of sumptuous meals. It’s also an opportunity for individuals to reflect on the positive aspects of their lives and express gratitude for their blessings, such as family, friends, and health.
More so, it’s a time to appreciate family, friends, health and other aspects of life. Because what you don’t appreciate will naturally and automatically depreciate. Generosity is often expressed during Thanksgiving, whether through acts of kindness, charity, or sharing with others. The holiday encourages a spirit of giving. Dear friend, why not start cultivating the spirit, culture and lifestyle of giving? Because givers never lack.
